Finally managed to do another painting of my hobbit girl - still nameless, but I'm working on it - and this time she's actually smiling. Background was a pain to do for me, as always, and I'm not totally happy with it, but it was all the patience I could muster up for it, so it'll have to do.

I finally got around to giving the mermaid some more detail, also fixed some of the proportion issues... For now I'm quite happy with it.

Another fantasy girl, this time a sylvan nymph...
What can I say, I just wanted to paint cuteness, and I like pointy ears...
With backgrounds I'm always having a hard time, but maybe someone has a tip for me, how to integrate it better with the main subject...?

It's personal work, as usual, done with Painter and Photoshop...

He's some kind of polar furry creature, not sure what exactly.
Initially I was just trying out some new PS brushes from Marta Dahlig (got them from the ImagineFX DVDs). Somehow it ended up looking kinda cute, so I made it into a lil' illustration, just for fun.

My first portfolio piece on cg society, yay.

It's a painting of a slightly irritated Hobbit girl - why she's so annoyed? No clue, honestly, her image just popped into my head like that - maybe we'll find out later...?

It was done with Potoshop and Painter, and it took me quite a while, since I work on stuff like this only in my free time.

I wanted to paint a mermaid for quite some time, but it took me a while to find a pose I liked.
I know, there's probably a couple of things that could be improved - I also want to give her some kind of markings and some jewellery still... But I have to think about it for some time, and I also don't want to get tired of the picture, just by working on it forever.
So, I'll probably go back to this one in a while and touch it up some more - but for now, I'm quite happy with the result.
Done with Painter and Photoshop, as usual.
